This week I decided to choose Mambo Italiano by Rosemary Clooney. It's one of my favorite music since the beginning of this semester, it's a music that we listen to in France and that we use at parties, weddings... it's a classic for us, it's the same in the US. (I think so)  For me, it's a music that you can listen to every day without getting tired of it. It makes us want to move and motivates us! I think it's a good music to listen to in the morning to wake up.  Rosemary's voice goes very well with the music. T he instruments used go well with rosemary's voice.  I t's a living music. You can feel by the tone of voice that it's a rather humorous music. My favorite part of this music is when she says Mambo Italiano in the chorus. She has a pretty strong voice. For this week, I chose the music : Wrappin’ it up by Fletcher Henderson. I like this music because there are only instruments. It's my favorite kind of music as you could understand it.  The instruments give a harmonious sound, they are coordinated together which gives a beautiful harmony. This music is not surprising because there is no voice behind/with the instruments. The instruments used are the same as for the other musics of the time. I really like the rhythm of the music, it is quite rhythmic and the solos of some instruments add something more.  I could listen to this music in events but not alone at home. It's a beautiful music that I advise you to listen to even if you don't like music with only instruments.  

For this new week, I decided to write about the song : I Got Rhythm by Ethel Merman  It's a dynamic song that makes people want to dance. You just want to get out of bed and dance to this song. It's a nostalgic song but there's a lot of rhythm.  If I didn't know it was a nostalgic song, I would never have guessed it when I heard it.  This song surprised me because at the beginning the instruments play fast and something that makes you want to dance but 10 seconds later Ethel sings and it's not the same energy as at the beginning. It's slower and you think: what's going on?   It’s like a jazz dancing music. This is typically the kind of music I don't usually listen to. This music has nothing to do with what I usually listen to but I like it because it’s catchy. My favorite part of this music is the moment of the instrumental as my other music blog post. I really like to listen to the instrumentals of each music.   My least favorite part is when Ethel sing...

For my first blog, I decided to write about La Negra by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan. This song is very surprising and I like Mexican musics. When you listen to it, you feel happy and you just want to dance. You can hear the happiness of the band because of the shouts.   This music surprises me because of the instruments who are using and all the shouts during the instrumental. The instruments break the rule of traditional musics, there are trumpets, guitars... Everybody can listening to this type of music.  My favorite part of this music is the part where they're not singing (the instrumental), I really like to just listen to the trumpets and guitars, it's really entertaining.  You can really feel the Mexican culture in this song. You just want to listening to more Mexican musics. This shows you the identity of Mexico. Just in listening to this music, you can see the mariachis with there’s hats.
