Week 7 - Surfin' USA : The Beach boys

Today I decided to talk about the music : Surfin' USA by the Beach Boys, a music known in the whole world I think. 

It is a music that I appreciate particularly because of the rhythm of the music and also it is a music that we hear regularly in parties at home. This music reminds the holidays, the sun, we could imagine ourselves on a beach in California surfing. 

There is some guitar which allows to make a good rhythm to the music. We want to dance and have fun on this music. It's a quite bewitching music, I really like this music. I listen to it alone at home because I appreciate it. 

I think that this music can be appreciated by everyone, it does not age, it remains always in the air of time. I could listen to it every day and never get tired of it.

    I love how you talk about how the song gives off the vibes that they are singing about. When I listened to this song I didn't enjoy it as much. It's not really my style of music I guess. Music doesn't age just like you said, I like how you brought that up!

    I can't say that this is my kind of style in music and I would get sick of hearing it day after day, but I have to agree that it's iconic and I don't think it will ever go out of style. I liked how you described that part, that it doesn't age and it's a song you can play at parties and it makes you want to dance.

For my first blog, I decided to write about La Negra by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan. This song is very surprising and I like Mexican musics. When you listen to it, you feel happy and you just want to dance. You can hear the happiness of the band because of the shouts.   This music surprises me because of the instruments who are using and all the shouts during the instrumental. The instruments break the rule of traditional musics, there are trumpets, guitars... Week 8 : Be My Baby by the Ronettes

Today, I decided to choose as music for my blog post : Be My Baby performed by the Ronettes. This is the song that I really appreciate. I listen to it in France. It's a popular song because it's played in the film Dirty Dancing. I like this movie  because there is dancing, a complicated love story... It's a rather romantic music, with a good rhythm. We feel sensuality in this music, I like it very much! This music makes you want to dance with the person you love until the end of the night. We feel the love in this music, the passion of the first love. I think that everybody can listen to this music even if it's a love song. This does not necessarily please everyone.  It's the kind of music lover that I could listen all day long in loop without getting tired of it. I advise everyone to listen to this music even if it is not your style. I think everyone can understand the message of love behind this music.

Week 12 : Infinity by Jaymes Young

 For my last blog, I decided to talk about my favorite song for the moment : Infinity by Jaymes Young. I rediscovered this music on Tik Tok. It's a love song and I'm the kind of person who really likes love songs. I'm obsessed with them. I think I'm a romantic person, this explains why I like it so much.  When you listen to it, you can feel the love he feels for a person. I like this music very much, I find myself in the lyrics since I am currently happy in a relationship. The lyrics are poignant and express well what one can feel when one is in a relationship. I really like the instrumental which is quite calm and suddenly the instrumental becomes more punchy.  If you want to listen to more love songs, here are some of my favorites : Je te laisserai des mots-Patrick Watson.  Another Love-Tom Odell.
